Teach Na nDaoine Family Resource Centre

 Our Childcare service is a purpose built facility that caters for children from 12 months to 7 years. Each age range has a separate room allowing the children to attain their developmental milestones before progressing to the next room. We have an onsite chef who cooks the children’s meals throughout the day.

We are fortunate to have access to an extensive outdoor area that has a variety of elements that include grass, cement and tarmac, as outdoor play is an integral part of children’s overall development.

We operate for 48 weeks of the year Monday – Friday 8.15am – 6.00pm

We are closed are for:

• 1 week at Halloween 
• 2 weeks at Christmas
• 1 week at Easter
• All bank/public holidays

As we are a Community Childcare Service we can offer parents a reduction of childcare costs through a range of Government Schemes. The schemes are as follows:

• ECCE- Free Preschool Year (38 weeks) Monday to Friday 9am-1pm, free of charge including breakfast and a hot meal (Link)
• CCS Subvention – where the Government assists parents who are in receipt of Social Welfare payments, FIS etc. and/or have Medical Cards and G.P. visit cards with their childcare costs.(Link)
• TEC – parents who are entitled to VTOS, are registered for approved training courses or are a participant on a Community Employment (C.E.) Scheme can apply to have their childcare cost paid for by the TEC Scheme (Link)
